UNA MIRADA EUROPEA A LA CULTURA Y LA TRADICIÓN PIRENAICA

An European View to the culture and tradition of Pyrenees is a project of cultural type that is developed in Alt Urgell, with its capital in Seu d'Urgell, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees. Aims: - To promote the culture and traditions of the Catalan Pyrenees in Europe. - To promote and disseminate different cultural realities of Europe among young people of the region. - Promote the Erasmus + program and European mobility through activities led by European volunteers. Specific objectives: - Provide tools to European volunteers to improve their skills, abilities, and learning acomapañamiento. - Provide tools and cohesion among young native volunteers to promote multiculturalism. This year the project, we have the cooperation of three volunteers of Hungarian origin, Serbian and Ukrainian. The activities developed during his stay were THE FOLLOWING: Long-term activities: - Collaboration in the weekly Regional Archive. Digitization of old photographs of the city and surroundings. - Collaboration with the Espai Armengol-City Museum. Photographs and disclosure of events. - Collaboration with the "Centre Obert" danger-school for children with social exclusion. Workshops and introduction to the English language. - Updating the blog and Facebook Coffee Languages. Writing articles explaining their volunteer experience. - Revitalization of "Café of Languages". Space relationship with young locals. Specific activities: - Organization of workshops and lectures in schools to promote the EVS. - Organization of workshops at the first meeting of young ASSOCIATIONS Alt Urgell - Design and organization of an exhibition of Chinese shadow - Production of video report explaining its end volunteer experience. The results of all activities carried out are positive; the impact they are having on the area is remarkable. Given that the Seu d'Urgell has a population of 13,000, is raising awareness of the European Voluntary Service, to the extent that voluntary part of the talks and promotional activities related to a large number of people . At the same time, the associates (Archive, Museum, Centre Obert ...) were satisfied with the work of the volunteers. Both quantity (number of people who know the EVS and voluntary work) and qualitatively (satisfaction by collaborating entities, and voluntary) targets have been met.
