PROJECT
FINISHED
The training project has been prepared in cooperation between PZS Ledziny and its equivalent foreign institutions. It is targeted at one former pupil and the students of the 3rd class of technical comprehensive schools who are educated in the following professions: logistics technician, IT technician, economist, electrician, mechanic technician. This is the optimal level as these students will already have gained sufficient knowledge and skills at school and they won’t be the students of the final year.
IMPORTANT: The former pupil’s two-month training has been scheduled for March and April 2016. The training will last 8 weeks, 5 days per week. The former pupil will participate in the whole preparation process (participation in an English and Spanish course, meetings with a psychologist as well as an expert in the history and culture of Spain) together with the students going on the training.
The training for the students has been scheduled for April 2016 in two groups: group 1 (20 students and 2 counsellors) for logistics, economist and IT technicians in Granada (Spain), group 2 (16 students and 2 counsellors) for mechanic technicians and electricians in Neunhagen (near Berlin), Germany. The training will last 4 weeks, 5 days per week. Thanks to the project the students will gain additional skills relevant to their professions but also compliant with the programme prepared in collaboration with foreign partners. The project meets the need to adjust vocational education to the requirements of the contemporary job market, not only in Poland but all over Europe. The practical training will enable the students to compare working conditions in Poland to those in Spain and Germany. The training for IT technicians will be located in both companies as well as small family businesses, for logistics technicians and economists this will be the tourist industry and for electricians and mechanic technicians working in a simulation company. The observed solutions may help in modernizing the family businesses or facilitate the setting up of the students’ own enterprises, while their experience will allow them to function better in the Polish job market. The students will have an opportunity to work with the latest technical solutions used in Europe, modern technologies and labour organization systems.
The primary objectives of the project are the following:
1. To improve professional qualifications of the students (increase in knowledge and competence).
2. To make professional training more attractive, effective and of higher quality.
3. To increase the mobility of students involved in vocational education.
4. To gain proper team work skills while working in multinational teams.
5. To support the process of gaining knowledge and skills the aim of which is to facilitate personal development and to increase the students’ chances in European job market.
6. To familiarize the students with the culture, history, and customs of the host countries.
7. To improve the students’ language skills, both in terms of everyday communication and professional terminology.
8. To strengthen the participants’ self-esteem and to show them opportunities for further development.
Apart from the above mentioned results, it is also expected that the students will qualify for the Europass Mobility document and certificates issued by the host institutions and PZS in Lędziny. The project will take place in April 2016 in Neunhagen (Germany), in April 2016 in Granada (Spain) and in March and April 2016 also in Granada (Spain) for the former pupil. Prior to their departure, the students will have taken part in an vocational-English course and vocational-German course. They also will be acquainted with Spanish on an elementary level (the group going to Spain). Moreover, they will attend meetings with a psychologist as well as an expert familiarizing the students with the culture and history of Germany and Spain as well as risk prevention. Through the whole project, the concepts and objectives of the individual trips and the Erasmus+ programme itself will be publicised in the local press and on the websites of the school, the leading institution and foreign partners and also in the educational press. After the students’ return from their training, their stay will be evaluated. We have planned to organise meetings with students, their counsellors, the school head teacher, representatives of the official leading institution, the Educational Board in Katowice and the local press. The above actions will be prepared by PZS in Lędziny. Both the students and the former pupil will receive full logistic and organisational support and assistance from PZS Lędziny as to all activities related to the project (e.g. the purchase of their plane tickets, insurance, providing them with transport to and from the airport).
We expect that the project results will have an impact on the participants themselves but also on the entire school, the school authorities.
