In the frame of the implementation of the project titled “Tysiac dróg ale jedna dusza społeczństwa obywatelskiego” we would like to start the cooperation with 28 young people aged between 18 and 30, both genders. We would like to invite the youth from whole Poland, putting special attention on young inhabitants from our region – Lower Silesia voivodeship – who have to struggle with problems like finding job as the result of serious unemployment crisis. Europejskie Forum Młodzieży and partners assume the cooperation with youngsters coming from less privileged and less developed environment, having problems such as limited access to the formal and informal education, art and culture, family problems etc. The aim of the project is to help and to motivate the young people to change their life situation through activate them by free and unpaid work in the European countries. Through the project, we want to show young people that despite the problems they can purchase interesting experiences, make new friends with interesting people, get to know new places and acquire new skills useful in the further part of their life. Thanks to the discovery of other cultures, they can see how their peers from other countries cope with the same difficulties The European Voluntary Service will help them to obtain new skills and experiences, to support them with developing their passion and interests. The volunteers will have possibilities to know and see new places, meet new people, cultures, habitats and religions. They can self-realize in the social and ecological projects through the organization of culture and thematic workshops which promote the fight against the unemployment. Their work consists of the help on daily situations and tasks, in organization of free time of children, youth, adult and disabled people. The places of the implementation of the project are: schools, Social Help Centers, Culture Houses and others. The result of the project is to reinforce the feeling of being European and to reinforce of the European culture and customs. Through the project, EFM and its partners wants to break down the stereotypes and myths about foreign cultures and to build the equality and tolerance to foreigners for volunteers.We would like to also through design, to break language and personnel barriers, develop new skills of young people,which can be useful during looking for work. EVS favors breaking barriers, stereotypes in the perception of yourself and the world and getting to know your own strengths and weaknesses.
