Why?
The goal of the project is to improve students' and staff memebers' of Turku Vocational Instutute international skills, which are vital in ever-changing working life. Work experience gained in another European country makes it easier to find a job, especially the first one. And of course, working abroad makes language skills better.
In addition to learning at work place students learn a lot also during their free time. Getting to know local people and local manners and culture in every-day life teaches a lot to students. Coping independently in a completely new environment improves students’ self-esteem. That also helps to tolerate stress. The students' goals of the on-the-job-training period are based on the goals of the curriculum. The evaluation will be carried out on the basis of the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) by each receiving institute. This project will talso est a new 'International Study Path'.

It increases their professional knowledge of the teaching systems and working life in other countries. It also makes their language skills better, along with their ability to help students to cope with changing circumstances.
