TRY - Taking Responsibility for Youth aims at: 1) Creating a platform for bringing together young people and policymakers which enables them to formulate recommendations for government officials, taking into account national Strategy for Youth 2014 - 2020 and preparatory activities related to Slovak presidency in the Council of the EU. 2) Enlarging the knowledge basis of local youth parliaments leading to enhanced implementation of measures incorporated into national Strategy for Youth 2014 - 2020. 3) Creating conditions for long-lasting training of public servants charged with youth policy while strengthening networking at regional and local level. 4) Mobilizing young people to vote in 2016 elections via motivational video-campaign and analysis of electoral manifestos and their impact on youth. 190 young people and 30 decision-makers from Zilina Region will be involved in TRY. Young people will gain opportunity to develop competences in strategic planning, usage of analytical tools, project management, marketing, personal branding, communication, teamwork, argumentation, negotiation tactics, public speaking, policy review and data-mining.
