PROJECT NAME: Trekking EuropeCONTEXT / BACKGROUND DESIGN:The Enzonas of Bragança Walkers Association, is a Social Association was born to create dynamic and foster the meeting of Young, developing interest and respect for nature, through the practice of physical activity by walking and walking. He has extensive experience in informal work carried out with the local community, particularly with young people. We identified and found that the major problem of Our locals was the insulation derived from the inner life of our city, and found that there is an urgent need to create dynamic combat these effects of inwardness and isolation of young people in the country's interior due to lack opportunities in this place and the need for "opening" social youth, eager to European citizenship, the mood of knowledge and interaction with other cultures.Thus, this project will be an excellent opportunity to improve skills and basic life skills in a European society, encouraging young people to participate in activities with an international dimension and thereby achieve combat the lack of opportunities and the existing ethnocentrism. In fact, we opt for photography as the theme for this project we had in mind the interest of young people and a different way of approaching interculturalism: through the practice of physical exercise being a common interest to young people.OBJECTIVES• Promote healthy life styles and habits thus increasing the quality of life and stimulating physical activity, resulting in added value in terms of well-being;• Create citizenship processes to mitigate, reduce and avoid the isolation of young people, overcoming geographical barriers with respect to intercultural dialogue by promoting contact among peers - Young, establishing links with Nature, Culture, History, Food and Crafts site;• Exchange of best environmental practices (environmental amenities) methodologies in youth action and social values (equality, fraternity, mutual help);• Produce learning outcomes from non-formal and informal pairs of high quality for the participants and the acquisition of skills through activities based on non-formal education;• Promote the development of social and cultural skills in young people in Europe allowing them to collaborate in the future in educational settings or multicultural professionals.• Teaching and learning of foreign languages.NUMBER AND PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:60 young people aged 13-18 years with interest the adoption of healthy lifestyles, physical activity outdoors. We want every organization to be represented with 6 young persons being one, the group leader.DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:1) VPA;2) Exchange in Bragança, Portugal - icebreaker activities and knowledge among participants, group dynamics, guidance activity in multicultural teams, Peddy paper by the city of Bragança, daily moments of reflection about the practice of physical exercise and on individual learning and the end evaluation phase of the project with partner organizations and the participants.METHODOLOGIES APPLIED: Discussion and reflection among peers; group dynamics based on non-formal education; adoption of healthy life styles and habits; contact the Environment - Nature, reflection on learning.DESCRIPTION OF EXPECTED RESULTS AND IMPACT:For young people:- Adoption of healthy lifestyles;- Increased cross-cultural knowledge and awareness and acceptance of differences;- Acquisition of new skills and values;- Encouraging non-formal learning and cooperation;- Improved conversation in English.For associations:- Acquisition of experience and expertise that will allow an improvement in future organized actions;- Increased capacity planning, management of activities and development of non-formal and informal education strategies;- Increased visibility of the work done by youth associations at national and international level.POTENTIAL BENEFITS LONG-TERM: We hope that this project is just the beginning of an extensive collaboration between these organizations that have missions, values and very similar contexts. We hope that our dissemination will allow greater regional dynamism. At the same time, the fact of involving young people in various stages of will make them winning design skills and experience that enables them, in the future, are themselves agents of change and social entrepreneurs.
