Travelling Anne Frank Exhibition
Start date: Jan 1, 2012,

The EVS volunteer will contribute to the educational programme around the travelling exhibition “Anne Frank – A History for Today” which focusses on the story of Anne Frank, the historical context of her time and the relevance of this history for today’s world. The contemporary part of the exhibition deals with issues like intolerance and discrimination. The Anne Frank exhibition is shown in 40 countries worldwide. In the framework of this EVS project, from January until August 2012, the exhibition will be shown on at least five locations in the Netherlands (schools, museums, cultural centers). Using the standard materials that were made by the Anne Frank House, the volunteer will assist the local organisers of the exhibition. On location the volunteer will help the exhibition guides (usually young people aged 15 – 18) to fulfill their tasks; the volunteer will contribute to the training of the guides, he/she will be in permanent contact with them and at the end of the exhibition presentation he/she will organise the evaluation with the guides and report back to the project coordinator at the Anne Frank House. In the office of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam the volunteer will be co-responsible for educational programmes in the Anne Frank House and besides that he/she will assist in several youth projects (taking place in the Netherlands and abroad) that are being organised by the International Department of the Anne Frank House.
