Ecological problems have no borders and they are affecting everyone. Some of the biggest problems are: waste treatment, air land and water pollution, climate change etc. Beside the ecological problems all societies are facing huge unemployment problem. In some countries unemployment rate among young people is more than 50%. European states must solve these problems together. The Youth Exchange Trash 4 Cash aims at promoting job opportunities through recycling and stimulating entrepreneurial spirit based on sustainable - green job ideas (taking unused things and turning them into something useful).Participants would gain new knowledge trough methods of non-formal education, workshops, presentations, short lectures, practical activities, which is the way to work on their skills, but also to get to know themselves, their needs, strengths and weaknesses, to develop team spirit and also to discover new job opportunities. The project objectives include raising awareness for the ecological issues and creating new job opportunities for young people.Youngsters as final products of this YE, would made handcrafts (flowerpots, shelves, sitting chairs, picture frames etc.) from recycled and thrown away materials that they will collect during Eco patrol. Those handcrafts will represent their creative side, entrepreneurial spirit and opportunity to start their own jobs. Also they will make a booklet and online blog about sustainable job opportunities.The project would take place in small eco village in municipality Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, from 23rd of May until 1st of June 2014. with 49 participants coming from Serbia, Macedonia, Portugal, Ukraine, Italy, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Georgia. EEG will be hosting organization of this youth exchange.
