Urkraft has been working with partner organisations on an European level for more than 10 years. For us as an organisation it is important to use this way of collaboration to improve the quality of work for the benefits of our target groups. The exchange with partners from other European countries deepen the understanding of the European Educational Area and develops of the "European competences" of all staff involved.
We have had two main working areas in this project:
1. specialised staff working at the threshold from school to work / key competences for staff working at the threshold: school to vocational education and the world of work.
In all partner countries, many stakeholders from schools, companies and other educational organisations have devoted themselves to the question of how the transition between school and work can be made in a more purposeful and appropriate way, both in terms of quantity and quality.
2. Management staff working in transnational projects with the focus on educational planning / key competences for staff working in transnational projects with the focus on educational planning. Working in and managing transnational educational projects requires a set of different competences. In this project our goal was to support a profession and to give them the opportunity to discuss their working requirements.
This project gave seven of our staff the opportunity to enhance their working skills within the above described areas. The main goal of the project was to improve the quality of Urkrafts work by giving individual staff members the opportunity to experience similar work carried out by other European organisations. The aim was to strengthen the educational work and develop new working methods together with partner from Europe.
Major impact on participants: language expertise in a foreign language and motivation and a deeper understanding of the European educational policies. Further collaboration on a working level with our partners within European educational projects. We have set up a peer to peer network between the collegues of Urkraft, Graz and Berlin and will extend it to stakeholders in our respective region.
We have completed several dissemination activities in the within our organisation and on reginal as well as national level. For example: workshops and meetings with city officials within the educational system in Skellefteå and Norsjö.
