The "Transfer of competencies and innovative methods for the adaptation of vocational training to the specific labor market" project addressed the need of professional development of trainers and managers, of learning the techniques for effective designing and management of training programs according to the labor market requirements and of openness to understand the European vocational training systems.
The project aimed at developing the skills of professionals in education and training and transfer of best practices in education and training in order to adapt training and professional preparation to labor market demands in our region.
Specific objectives :
1. Developing the skills of 20 managers, VET teachers and trainers and improving their capacity of prospective analysis and development of training for trainers programs and programs in the field of initial and adult vocational training , tailored according to the regional labor market trends ;
2. Supporting innovation and promoting quality in training , transfer of best practices and European models , leading to a sustainable vocational education and training and an increased rate of integration of graduates in labor market;
3. Personal and cultural development of the 20 participants,of their language competences and cultural communication skills ;
4. Development of partnerships at European level for VET mobility and transnational activities of exchange of experience and best practices.
Under this project, 10 managers, trainers, teachers, training experts and staff from the Teacher Training Centre County, five managers and trainers from the DOMINOU Association and 5 managers, trainers and teachers from the EduNet Association attended a training course in Paphos, Cyprus the period of 26 May 2015 - 4 June 2015, organized in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Rivensco Consulting Limited from Paphos, Cyprus.
During the 10 days of training, the participants developed activities as job shadowing in VET schools and organizations for adult education or continuing training of teachers, participated in workshops of effective practice as well as exchanged of their experience participating to roundtables, debates and presentations on various topics during the visits of different organizations.
Within the four workshops, the participants worked together with the trainers and the staff of the host organization and other organizations within the local network and developed management and training tools, depending on their area of interests. At the end of their training, in the final evaluation session, the participants presented the results of their training and the managerial and training tools created in the workshops.
The 20 managers, teachers VET and trainers have developed their skills and capacity of developing programs for training of trainers in the field of initial vocational education and professional training of adults, tailored according to the labor market trends at the regional level, which are reflected in the increased quality of training and better professional preparation of trainers, students and adults.
The participants understood the practices, policies and systems of education and training in Europe having a greater capacity to adapt their training activity to the European standards and increased capacity for organizing transnational partnerships for VET mobility and activities for exchange of experience and good transnational practices.
The 20 participants improved their language skills and cultural communication.
By disseminating the project results and integrating them into the training of trainers programs , by transferring the best practices and European models, the project supports innovation and promotes quality in training, contributing to better integration in labor market of graduates of vocational education and technical.
