The members and collaborators of the Cultural Group ΕCHODRAMA are researching, studying and continuously being informed about new ways of expression in dance and dance theater, new ways of combining dance and musical compositions and new ways of interaction between digital projection and dance. They are dance teachers in various dance schools and interested in expanding their knowledge to enable them to teach new techniques and contemporary dance new ballets techniques for projecting the Greek culture and simultaneously educate their audience.The objective of the Cultural Group ECHODRAMA through this project are: a) to train members and partners so that they become more capable dance teachers and transfer to their students new techniques and b) to incorporate in dance productions a modern character to attract further the young audience and the tourist audience that is interested in learning the history and tradition of Greece, watching a dance theater performance with modern means.Due to lack of university education in dance and dance theater in Greece, we believe it can be done more efficiently by attending programmes in educational institutions abroad or professional contemporary dance groups abroad who through their work, they have proven their quality and the educational level of their trainers.For the purposes of the project the group THEATER DER KLAENGE has been selected, which creates internationally renowned dance theater performances with modern and internationally renowned members and partners who train dancers. The group was formed in 1987 by musicians, dancers and actors and has created numerous theater and dance theater performances of international scope. To date, the team's performances have attended about 90,000 viewers in 55 cities in Germany, France, Holland, Israel, Russia and India. The team members and trainers of the team that will undertake the teaching of our participants have also taught many contemporary dance workshops in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France, two of them in Japan and the US. The group is funded primarily by the City of Dusseldorf, the Region of North Rhine-Westphalia and various cultural institutions. The group has its own training rooms, where participants will be trained.This proposal therefore request the opportunity to apply for funding for attending a training on new techniques in contemporary dance and dance theater from the group THEATER DER KLAENGE. The training program will be attended by 10 people by the Cultural Group ECHODRAMA: four members (three dancers-choreographers and one musician) and 6 collaborators (dancers-choreographers, dance teachers) working in the company for creating dance theater performances. The training will take place in Dusseldorf, in a dance training room. The training will last for 15 days plus two days for the trip, total: 17 days. The training will be conducted by instructors of the company THEATER DER KLAENGE, three of which are German university professors in the field of dance and music, as well as a graduate student at the University of Essen, who belongs to the world-class team dance Pina Bausch.The training will include practical training and theoretical training and each instructor will teach three days. The training will include the following topics:1. Technical interaction between digital screenings and contemporary dance (trainer: Jörg Lensing),2. Technical interaction between music and contemporary dance (trainer: Jörg Lensing),3. Proper choice of modern musical compositions for expression corresponding dance movements and expression corresponding thoughts and ideas (Trainer: Jörg Lensing),4. New techniques of improvisation in dance and dance theater - elastic choreography system (trainer: David Hernandez,5. New techniques of expression in dance and dance theater (trainer: Jacqueline Fischer),6. Technical enlargement of contemporary dance with modern dance elements of other cultures (trainer: Yuta Hamaguchi),7. Technical dance and dance theater used by Pina Bausch (trainer: a graduate student at the University of Essen)During these 15 days, the participants will attend the latest creation of the team THEATER DER KLAENGE, the dance theater performance KONTRAST, performances by the Opera Düsseldorf at Tanzhaus, the best dance school in Düsseldorf which has its own theater and is financed by the City of Dusseldorf.
