Trade 4U Erasmus+ Mobility 2015
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This is the first time when Diákélet Egyesület (Students Life Assosiation) has competed for the Leonardo Mobilitas Programme. In the previous years the Diákélet Egyesület has competed three times successfully to Valencia under the name of the Szent László Vocational School of Tolna County. Our Partner institution (IMOT Agency) has participates in several other Leonardo Mobilitas programmes and has experience as a host institution. In our school, students have possibility to attend 13 different subjects including engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, information technology and other services. According to the decision of the Southern Transdanubian MFKB, many of the trained trades are in demand from the point of view of the labour market. 6 out of 13 trades are highly supported, 5 out of 14 are supported and the rest are not. The trades of service industry such as hairdressers and beauticians are not supported by MFKB but our school provides training for them. This way we give the chance to female students to gain trade and thus we assure equal opportunities for the genders. The number of disadvantaged students is high in our institution. In the programme “Trade 4 U” 16 students of the vocational school will participate. Many of them are disadvantaged and this programme gives them the opportunity to take part in professional training abroad. The aim of the project is to let the students gain experience and knowledge in a foreign country and working culture, and also to build new relationships with foreign students and workers of their profession. We predict that the result of this project is going to improve the students’ abilities and skills in their profession, language-use and methodology of work as well. In addition, as a result of these experiences they are going to use trade-specific English in a confident way. The 4 weeks spent without their parents is going to contribute to the students’ independence. In the framework of this project, we are planning to travel to Jerez de la Frontera at 18 October-14 November 2015. The number of students is 16, 3 metal turners, 3 electricians, 4 car mechanics, 3 mechatronic technicians and 3 manufacturing engineering technicians. We are planning to have a preparing period before the travel. During this period, intensive language training, e-learning, psychological training, team building and tasks for development of social competences are organized. The language of the programme is English, so the four weeks spent abroad will be very useful for practicing phrases of their trades. During their stay, the students are to write a work diary. Having arrived home, the students are to prepare an essay as part of dissemination of the project.
