The Trace Quality Network project aims to raise quality standards and to enhance quality management in the field of conference operations. The project foresees the implementation of a transnational Conference Quality Network in which a group of conference centres in Greece and Cyprus will receive awareness training and will commit towards quality standards and the benchmarking of best practice. The network will allow the exchange of experience and know-how and will rely upon expertise provided by the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), a world leader in Quality Management. The target group mainly comprises managers of Greek and Cypriot conference centres, who will participate in field visits and training activities led by EICC, before then designing and implementing a quality improvement plan for their respective conference centres. A training programme on quality management systems will be designed for managers who then expect to assume the role of quality manager. A quality handbook will be produced and provided to all the members of the network. Best practice quality procedures and practices will be disseminated (in EN & GR) during a series of four dissemination conferences, to associations of conference centres and to national tourist boards.
