The project addresses the need expressed by international community for transnational, well-directed and cross-cutting action to effectively manage climate change in the Alps. It aims to encourage preparation and implementation of cross-sectoral strategies and action plans and of proven good practice measures toward carbon neutrality on regional and local level. It contributes to the implementation of Alpine Convention Climate Action Plan and assures interaction with and transfer of results to policy level. Added value is in cross-sectoral, integrative and participatory approach. Through establishment of good practice transfer platform project provides framework for knowledge transfer between regions, for capitalisation of results of other projects and for implementation of measures toward carbon neutrality in the regions. In 12 pilot regions strategies and action plans toward carbon neutrality will be prepared and their implementation will start through implementation of measures. Achievements: Thematic project management was in the heart of implemented activities - the agreement of project partners on framework for implementation of content work packages was achieved during the 2 Project Steering Group Quality Management Board meetings organised by lead partner. Precise instructions for administrative and financial project management were shared with project partners resulting in received certifications of expenditure and prepared Progress Report. Appointed Communication Manager worked on Communication Strategy, project website, leaflets and common visual identity of the project. Common visual identity, together with project logo was approved by the partnership and is used in all project deliverables. All of the above results provide solid basis for further implementation of project activities.
