This training course will gather youth workers/ project managers who are responsible for EVS in their organizations, and will provide them with training in the field of sending and hosting young people with fewer opportunities. The project aims to provide the participants with skills and knowledge needed for working in this field, to prevent potential risks and difficulties; but also to stimulate long term cooperation between the partners, to provide more hosting opportunities for youngsters with fewer opportunities and to raise the awareness about the importance of this work. On a long term, the training is continuation of the efforts for establishing functional and stable international network for sending and hosting volunteers with fewer opportunities. The idea for this training was born as a result of an already existing cooperation between the partner organizations in the field of hosting volunteers with fewer opportunities; and it is envisioned to provide training to our youth workers necessary for increasing the quality of sending and hosting the target groups of the partner organizations, starting from the daily reality of volunteers’ needs, and matching them with the opportunities that can be offered. For this purpose, the activity program includes specially designed simulation exercise, accompanied with short inputs, discussions and sharing experiences, as well as meetings with young people from the target group and with real hosting project. The training course will take place in Kavadarci, Macedonia, during March 2012; and will be hosted by the project applicant - Youth Association creACTive. A total group of 24 participants from Belgium, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia will participate in 5 days of training, delivered by experienced trainers.
