“Together we grow: youth towards an inclusive economy” is a project that aims at increasing young people’s awareness of their own role in society and potential to concretely work and commit themselves to make a real change happen in their surrounding environment. By having the chance to get in touch from the inside a new vision of the way in which the social and, in particular, economic actors can contribute to a more just and fraternal society in which no one should remain excluded from the opportunity to live with dignity and develop his/her own talents, the young participants in the program will bring back to their homes some wider horizons to explore and shape themselves. In order to do so, they will be provided with some practical tools and competences as well as new knowledge about how to put their entrepreneurial ideas into practice, how to identify possible collaborations and create an interactive network, how to implement social values in their everyday economic actions.
The initiative is to be performed in the wider frame of the Economy of Communion project that has already more than 20 years of experience in promoting a socially sustainable management and business lifestyle that eager to fight against poverty and social exclusion.
The exchange program will involve 42 youth participants (18 to 30 years old), 8 with fewer opportunities, and 7 tutor from seven partnering countries (Croatia, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Romania) that during the 6-days of exchange will participate in numerous interactive workshops on different topics concerning the social entrepreneurship and starting up of a company. Moreover they will have the chance to know and share thoughts and ideas with some young as well as more experienced entrepreneurs already operating in the field of civil economy as well as participate in two lectures on the topic of social exclusion and productive inclusion and the “culture of giving”.
The impact we hope that the present project brings to both its participants and society is innovative, courageous, enterprising young people able to work and live for a more just world and rivitalize the Europe project.
