One of the main aims of European education strategies is to improve the quality of education pointing out the creative, responsible and open-minded personality. According to the priorities of the European education development one if the essential guarantees to the perfection of the educational system is the teacher who constantly learns and seeks for perfection, applies innovative and creative methods in his work. The most significant impact of the improving teacher is made on his/her pupils. If the teacher is competent and self-confident, uses IT and updated motivating and creative European trends of methodology in his lessons, makes his/her pupils get involved into learning English through other activities, the authority of such a teacher is getting bigger not only among pupils but also among pupils' parents, and automatically the motivation of learning is growing which leads to better learning achievements and better prestige of the school. There are no doubts that perfecting teachers create advanced school.Learning abroad is evaluated as one of the most effective forms of enhancing teachers' qualification which combines the synthesis of theoretical and practical knowledge at the same time widens teachers' cultural outlook and motivates the learning of foreign languages.In our school- Rokiškis J.Tumas- Vaižgantas gymnasium- the SWOT analysis of the activity for the year 2014 was made. According to SWOT the Weaknesses of our gymnasium are low learning motivation, learning to learn, cooperative learning, slight link between theory and practice. The Opportunities to eliminate these weaknesses are the following: the use of more various methods,integration of different subjects and tasks, the application of theoretical knowledge into practice through concrete tasks, accomplishing projects and other after school activities. One of the main objectives of our gymnasium activity plan for the year 2015 is to improve the quality of education seeking for the effective lesson and satisfaction of pupils' needs. Having done the analysis of the situation the administration of the gymnasium promotes and supports this project as one of the most innovative forms to improve the qualification of the English teachers what would guarantee a higher level of language teaching employing the newest European methods and educational experience. The qualification of our English teachers is not high. However, the pupils' and society's needs and requirements to English teachers are growing due to the changes in the structure of the national English exam and the university and college admission procedures and social needs in general. Four English teachers have taken the opportunity of The Lifelong Learning Programme and participated in the Teacher Learning/Training Courses abroad. Those English teachers initiate and accomplish international projects with the partners met on the courses. During 2012-2014 we implemented Comenius multilateral school partnership project "Let's Click", at present another Erasmus+ KA-2 project CLAP is being in progress.The project management group has prepared the strategy of the project management, the plan of the main project activities, the criteria for the selection of project participants and foreseen the project results and impact as well as going on after-project activities.All 2-week-mobility visits will be in the UK. The content of all teaching/training courses will respond the topic and aims of our project: to refresh, deepen and polish the English knowledge and skills of 5 gymnasium teachers, to get to know the new tendencies of English teaching methodology, to expand the teachers' outlook on British culture and lifestyle, to gain more experience of international communication, to start new links for future cooperation in Erasmus+KA-2 projects and the establishment of the European Club at school.We also put stress on the quality of all courses, we are going to choose the courses with experienced and well-known lecturers.The program of each courses will have 3 days of learning English( the participants will be improving their intonation, pronunciation, skills of fluent speaking and creative writing, will enrich their vocabulary); 4 days will be devoted to practical methodical workshops of teaching English as a foreign language;1 day will be spent on getting to know the British educational system and visiting the local schools,watching lessons and discussing with British teachers; 2 days will include cultural-study visits to famous historical and cultural landmarks. Accumulated knowledge and skills will be disseminated for the teachers and communities of our gymnasium/ district/region/country and foreign colleagues via seminars, practical workshops, articles in the media and virtual space.
