Today the employment and unemployment problem appears as the most important and social problem facing us. The concept of unemployment which causes deep impacts on economic and social impacts has great importance and poses danger especially for a specific group. Those who are mostly affected among these groups by the unemployment are the young. Today while the 12,6 percent of the young are unemployed, this rate is expected to increase to the rate of 12.8 when 2 million people are included in this figure.
According to an estimation, in 2011 economic loss the ‘inactive youth’ cause who don’t have any jobs or aren’t studying anywhere is 153 billion American dollars in other words, more than 1 % of GDP. Thus, failure in the youth employment not only slows down the economic growth but also stands as a threat waiting for us.
Aims and objectives:
In this context, overal aim of the project is to create new ideas which will focus on employment of the youngsters by promoting their creativity and entrepreneurship and their active participation in labor market.
The concrete objectives of the Project are as follows :
- to create new projects which will focus on new business ideas
- to promote awareness of creativity and entrepreneurship of youngsters.
- to help youngsters to adapt themselves into labor market.
- to create awareness on employment of youngsters who are disabled and have less opportunity.
- to increase the cooperation and communication amoung the institutions which work on young people in Europe and neighbor countries, youth workers and young people.
- to share good practices in area of employment of youngsters
- to encourage active participation of the youngsters in labor market
The project participants are the young. The young to be involved in the project both locally and from the other partners will be among the young unemployed or working temporarily. It will be very convenient involve at least 3 youngsters from the participating organizations and groups and that these youngsters be disadvantaged. Some of the transnational partners and local participants will be chosen among those who have never been abroad and haven’t been involved in any project. Each partner will send 10 participants and 1 leader. In total the event will host 55 participants.
Activities which will take place:
APV, NGO fair, Cultural night, field visit, orientation activities, case analysis activities, lecturing on employment problem of youngsters and youth projects, creating drafts of the projects, presentation of best practices about employment , preparing reports of best practices, planning of future, partnership building activity, project simulation, evaluation activities.
Methods to be used:
Lectures, orientation meeting, group dynamic games, , ice breakers and warmers, brainstorming, group discussions and bilateral discussions, lecturing, fieldworks, group presentations, workshop, , individual work, project development techniques (brainstorming, problem analysis techniques, W-H questions, activity and strentgh analysis).
Expected results and a brief description of the effect and benifits of thepProject ın a long term :
The young whose creativity and entrepreneurship features will flourish will be willing to work fort he employment problem and participate actively in the labor market. The young who are informed about the business World, see the practices and become conscious will be adapted more to the labor work. With presentations and Works to be done at the field visit awareness will be raised about the employment of the young who are disabled and with fewer opportunities. By sharing the good practices on the field of the youth employment, the young will be able to use these good practices in their activities related to employment. Friendships will develop among the young who adapt to each other through cultural interaction, sincere chats in informal environment, who break the prejudices, who get to know their organizations and their actviities and in long term the young will increase cooperation among the young, youth workers and active organizations working actively in the field of youth. The projects in which new business ideas will be developed and whose drafts will be formed will support long term coooperation.
