?Youth Combating Social Exclusion? is implemented by Ratiu Foundation for Democracy and aims to increase Romanian youth civic participation through:
- Increasing the information level for 500 youth (aged 16 to 18) from 12 cities in Romania regarding the need for civic participation by diversifying learning methods on participation (first 8 months);
- Increasing opportunities for civic participation and dialogues with local authorities responsible for youth policies for 500 youth (aged 16 to 18) from 12 cities in Romania (first 8 months of the project);
- Creating a national strategy for involving young people in reducing social exclusion from local communities (9th month);
The project addresses the goal of structured dialogue, facilitating meetings between young people and youth policies stakeholders at national and European level as well as the principles of structured dialogue, by encouraging youth participation and good practices at national level and developing informational resources for youth.
The working methods are mainly non formal, with a focus on debating and role play.
The national seminar involving the participants and the stakeholders will bring together 60 young people participating in the project, 12 youth workers, 12 high school teachers, 12 local authority representatives and minimum 4 youth policy decision makers at European and national level.
The timeline of the project is 12 months.
