PROJECT
FINISHED
This project is part of a long term ongoing strategy to involve municipalities together with local associations in Kronoberg in Evs projects, and for the organisation to develop themself as hosting organisations. Together with host associations that have been receiving volunteers several times before, we want to connect also the municipalities of our region and young people of Europe by giving the volunteers the possibility to use their creativity and create actions in another country, that contribute for the development of localities. Both Palladium and the municipality of Alvesta sees a great value in the fact that youth from around Europe wants to come to Sweden and work with culture in small NGOs and municipalitys. It gives a great value to the people around seeing this, and affects the view of the importence of culture in Sweden, espeacially in smaller citys. Palladium as an organisation is an importent part of the culture life in Växjö, and they reach a big audience. So by reaching key NGOs and municipalitys, and by them hosting volunteers, more inhabitants become aware of the mobility possibilities for the young people in Europe and more politicians will see the importance of the youth european projects on the local level. These organisations are and will as well be an inspiration and a modell for other NGOs and municipalitys that want to start working with EVS within the area of culture. With this project we want to spread the prespectives on the municipalities that work with EVS, start new activities and get a more international perspective in the local projects. At the same time, we want the volunteers to be able to use their creativity in Sweden, create real projects with their ideas, to get to know the Swedish society and the social issues we face and finally, we want to provide a creative, intercultural and open environment that gives space and inspiration to new projects. This project will promote the exchange of cultural aspects of each country, as well as the promotion of artists, cultural expressions, languages and ways of communicating from the different cultures involved.
