The Power of Professional Development has been designed as a challenging, entertaining and interactive professional skills-related development program and its objectives are focused on preparing participants to successfully pursue occupation, all while offering opportunities for those who wish to acquire new skills and/or renew their competencies. Although this project assists in providing advice and knowledge related to job attainment, participants will also learn valuable skills that they can apply to occupations they may currently hold and/or at ones that may possess in the future. Our project will bring together 30 youth from 5 different countries in the spirit of multiculturalism and togetherness. Activities will focus on such important topics such as interview preparation, entrepreneurship, leadership ability, public speaking and networking. The various methods that we will implement involve community involvement, field experiences, guest speakers, educational games and facilitated debates and discussions; all with the aim of developing participants’ professional capabilities and preparing them for their future careers. Other methods employed over the 8 days of the the exchange will be visual presentations, group work, presentation of the Erasmus+ programme, workshops and role-playing. We envision both positive benefits and results as viable outcomes of this project. When participants fill out the final evaluation form and reflect on their week spent at the exchange, we are confident that they will have gained a wealth of knowledge in the area of professional development. As a result of this project, participants will have gained a new grasp and understanding of the skills that are vital for successfully pursuing occupation in the real world.We expect this project to make a profound impact on the participants, but also on their communities at large. A major part of the activities are planned to give the participants the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques that will benefit them in the long-term and help them on their career path. They will also have the chance to share their experiences and learn from each other, which will contribute to further enriching their knowledge and increasing the breadth of their professional network. It is our hope that they will take the knowledge learned at the exchange, nurture it, and apply it when seeking employment opportunities in the future.
