The new neverland maker is a long-term evs project (eleven months) that will take place at the hamlet of Viel Audon, situated in the Ardèches cliffs. The Viel Audon is a cooperative village, where 4 organisations live together and cooperate according to the value of sustainable development, with a strong educational attitude. This project, within the partnership with the association Mais Cidadania (Portugal) and Zajezka (Slovakia) grew out of the observation of the following key-factors:
-The importance of the contact with nature in the education
-the difficulty to approach the youth to the rural areas
-the need of opening up the rural areas to the international dimension
This project intends to host 2 volunteers from Portugal and spain, who are
-interested in nature and ecological issues
-willing to engage a space of experimentation dedicated to the non formal learning and the social and fair economy
-ready to live in a rural area
This project aims to promote the ecocityzenship through these 3 axes:
-personal growth and fulfillment
-education to the cooperate (between individuals, socio’economic actors from the local area as well as in the European boundaries
-education to sustainable lifestyles and nature-based learning
The proposed activities will be the following :
-support in the activities-leading
-support in the hosting activities
-conception of pedagogical tools based on cooperation
-creative management of the resources and the common spaces
-development of the personal project concerning the cooperation.
The project methodology is based on the cross-sectorial approach (5-senses, cognitive, artistic, historic) and onthe direct experience. This principles are applicable throughout all its phases, from the conception and identification of objectives until the implementation and assessment of results.
The expected results are the following:
Realization on 2 projects/ 1 common project on cooperation at local level/on the mutualised management of the site
-visual reporting paper/photos/video on th personal project
-enhancement of the common spaces
-creation of education tools
-delivery of certificates according to the attended trainings.
The expected long-term benefits are the following :
Accessibility
Adoption and transmission of sustainable life styles
Awareness raising on the local community concerning some intercultural issues
Consolidation of cooperation between the different orgsanisation of Viel Audon
Revitalisation of the associative dynamics in link with the community
Consolidation of the partership in the field of cooperation and education
