To make the cross-border area more attractive and present an integrated and balanced tourist offer, the partners develop and promote a common identity. In practice, they commit themselves to proposing a range of tourist, commercial and cultural cross-border facilities to boaters, residential tourists and day-trippers. Therefore, their policy is aimed at offering a comprehensive infrastructure for tourists. The partners in particular seek to make better use of their common asset, the Meuse river, through the promotion of the Meuse Valley. It also involves taking advantage of their complementarities and capitalising on the regions potential. Finally, any improvement involves an increased professional approach and the creation of new cross-border tourist products. All in all, the Meuse Valley positions itself as a quality tourism destination and strengthens the attractiveness of the area through the development and promotion of a common identity. The partners consider creating a sustainable structure for the project in the form of an association or an economic interest group. They are analysing the financial, technical and logistic feasibility of the most appropriatestructure. To ensure a relevant structure, representatives from all the partners, public and private, are involved from the start.
