KNOWINTARGET aims at producing a cohesive framework supporting adoption of a "knowledge and innovation society" concept at the regional level, with a transnational and cross-sector approach/methodology, laying on the needs for: -Targeted knowledge transfer to SMEs. -Coordinated, cross-sector and goal-oriented action with the synergetic participation of key actors of all categories/levels concerned, in designing-testing-applying rational strategies for "Knowledge Society" at the regional level. Achievements: State of the art of project implementation since the project startThe communication plan is in operation. The website is online and most of the publicity material has been produced. A project management team, led by EFET, has prepared 5 steering committee meetings and has agreed on a re-scheduling the project's activities and budget, formalised through a contract amendment. The studies on the existing status of knowledge and innovation in the agro-food sector as well as the innovation capacity audit methodology and the innovation pre/evaluation methodology are at final draft stage and wait for the additional feedback. A study for the rational strategic planning methodology for knowledge society has been drafted and presented to partners. Training material of the project towards the target audiences of the agro-food sector has been drawn. The regional awareness/training actions have been scheduled in all regions and started in some. Regional contacts that will contribute to the implementation phase have started. Support to end users has initiated.Latest project activities and outputsThe website is online and publicity material has been produced (newsletters-leaflets-folders-notepads). The project management team held 2 SC meetings and managed deliverables re-scheduling, in order to address pressing challenges. The studies on the existing status of knowledge and innovation in the agro-food sector, the innovation capacity audit and the innovation pre/evaluation methodologies are in functional versions, with the pilot implementation feedback remaining for their completion. The rational strategic planning methodology for knowledge society has been initiated. The training material of the project towards the 3 target audiences of the agro-food sector has been prepared and relevant training activities have started. The training of the trainers has been set up.
