The Best Years... R(ight)-Evolution is an initiative that is going to be run in Acerra (a city close to Naple) and will involve five countries: Italy, Bulgaria, Romania and Germany. The youth hardships, especially in such European areas, is to high and is connected to several order of factors: economic crisis, poor educational offer, not capacity to program the own future. To these factors correspond the other side of the coin: school abandonement, youth unamployment, not participation to lacal political life.
But change is possible?
The turning point can be spreading the idea among young people that the change is possible and this happens only through the self knowledge and the awareness of own capacities. The initiative will make participants live all epocal changes happened in the past decades, passing through the present and projecting the future. All these challanges that, getting through the activism (active citizenship), discovers and cultural muvements (musical revolution, the break of berlin wall, internet discover, etc..) have estabilished new epoches and the recognition of human rights (equality gender, free thoughts, study right, etc..). We will discuss of active citizenship and how young people can use social networks (apart from ICT), as aggregative support instrument that allows also the communication and active participation. According to the past experiences, participants will be stimulated to imagine their future and how to intend to realize it. The comparison about how the different cultures have lived such epochal changes can rise the cultural exchange and the European dimension knowledge. The main foreseen activities are: ice-breaking, team building and team working, workshops, meeting with assiciation and local institutions, historical reconstruction, cultural nights, assessment, follow up and motivational activities. Thirty-five young people will take part in the project, many of them are unemployed or that have abandoned the school. The learning method is informal, where young people will take part actively and will learn having fun. From the project we expect a major consciousness about European dimension and citizenship, the growth of local and international partnership concerning youth politics. We also expect a big local impact with development of synergy capable to bring multiplier effects.
