PROJECT
FINISHED
The organization carrying out the project is a vocational, training school in a disfavored area. Pupils attending this school are threatened by early drop-out and educational failure. In order to allow pupils to gain more confidence in using new technologies, their teachers have to be fully trained, learn and apply new technologies and feel able to address ICT.6 teachers of the department "Régime Préparatoire" (preparation to a vocational school) have been chosen to execute the project. These pedagogues teach all kinds of subjects (foreign languages, math, sciences, history etc.) and they want to include ICT in their teaching routine. These teachers are currently involved in basic projects with the same content and want to broaden their personal knowledges by addressing partners outside the country to get new inputs. The activities planned are courses abroad with theoretical and practical aspects to get an overview and visits/ job shadowing in different organizations to see how theoretical aspects are being put to use or work. A continuous exchange with different partners are scheduled in order to adapt the objectives of the project. The results envisaged are that these teachers are confident and competent in instructing their fellow colleagues. The knowledges and skills acquired shall be transmitted to other members of the organization, so that a greater number of pupils can benefit from these resources in the long-term.
