"Technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne i nauczanie dwujęzyczne drogą do budowania nowoczesnej szkoły"
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Robert Schuman Primus Foundation Non-public Elementary School 47’s project "Information and Communications Technology and Bi-lingual Instruction as the Path to Building a Modern School” is aimed at raising the quality of instruction at our school by means of applying information and communications technology in the teaching of foreign languages as well as broadening the teaching of core subject material in accordance with CLIL methodology. Thirteen foreign language teachers, nine core subject teachers and 3 administrative employees will take part in the project. Our language teachers, thanks to their participation in specialized methodology courses regarding the application of modern information and communications technology, will be able to update and expand their knowledge and acquire new practical abilities that will in turn allow them to enrich the school’s curriculum with new work techniques, tools and didactic material. This will result in an increase in quality of the teaching of foreign languages at NSP 47.Our core subject instructors, by taking part in general language courses, will raise their language abilities to such a degree that they will then be able to deepen their theoretical knowledge and practical abilities as relates to integrating subject matter with English language instruction as part of specialized CLIL courses. We are convinced that our teachers’ participation in study abroad will result in the forging of new, valuable contacts with European schools that have the potential to lead to the implementation of many innovative and interesting solutions which will increase the quality and effectiveness of education at our school. These teachers, enriched by this knowledge and experience, will make use of their newly-acquired techniques and technology during their lessons, to the great benefit of their students. We deeply believe that, thanks to participation in this training program, the level of teaching at our school will be greatly enhanced in both content and work methods, and that our institution will become a source of knowledge and inspiration for other schools. Our motto, “Learn in order to act, be and live together,” will take on an even deeper meaning.
