TEC - Trainers for European Citizens
Start date: Oct 1, 2002,
Responding to changing European demographics and an observed increase in the number of in-migrants in Europe, the TEC project focused upon the development of new European citizens, facilitating skills development for refugees and migrants having recently relocated to Europe. Skills development activity included language training alongside other cultural and social skills development. Teachers and trainers were also targeted by the TEC project with the aim being to increase the knowledge and understanding of the target group (refugees and migrants) amongst this professional group. The project involved the development and testing of new pedagogical approaches, adapted to meet the needs of the target group, and resulted in a series of online training modules, teacher/trainer guides and examples of good practice.
