TEAM- Teaching Everyone to Achieve More - especially students with learning difficulties

The title of our project is ’TEAM- Teaching Everyone to Achieve More – especially students with learning difficulties’. Its main aim is to give practical knowledge in the leassons and out of the lessons used in real life, to develop competencies which can be motivating, adaptive and upgraded for students with learning difficulties as well. Our aim is to initiate our students into active learning process, to experience real life situations during the lesson and after lessons.
The participating teachers are expected to broaden their mind and acquire new methods, to exchange teaching experiences to extend their students’ theorethical knowledge using practical examples, so they establish the long-life learning process.
Our school is really innovative and open towards professional renewal. It deals with developing the competencies of students with learning difficulties also talented students as highlighted upgrading issues.
11 colleagues took part in teacher training courses in Austria, Germany, Ireland, the UK and Cyprus and 5 colleauges joined job shadowing in Italy. All of them are well-qualified teachers teaching different subjects.
The teachers participating in teacher courses could broaden their knowledge in the following fields: creative teaching, motivating materials, experience education, CLIL method, blended learning, using ICT technology, task-based learning and last but not least managing cross cultural issue in teaching process.
During job shadowing the colleagues examined the Italian educational system, the method of school management, how upgraded methods are integrated, what's more they evaluated the feedback of educational modules about training students for practical life created by our school and tried out by the Italian partnerschool.
After returning home the participating teachers shared their experinces with the colleagues of their own school and other schools, used them on their own lessons, upgrading lessons and in whole school projects. Their reports were published on the webpage of our school.
Our project has several measurable and non-measurable results and effects.
As the important result of our project we could examine other educatianal systems, experience other culture, we learnt about new methods and established professional and personal connections. We got feedback and reinforcement about the professional work of our school. Each participant has become more open-minded and conscious in their work and their view of teaching has changed in positive way. As for the long-term result the personality of students and teachers is improving and they adopt their competencies into real life more effectively.
Regarding the short-term effect our colleagues have adopted and shared their acquired knowledge and experiences, in the future their colleagues will adopt the efficient methods as well.
From the aspect of our shool internationalism has become the part of our school life, new opportunities have presented themselves to create partnership and work on strategic partnership projects.
