The project of Mobility staff by G. Marconi( Padova) is called " Teachers On the Move : the future challenge" to testify the needs for teachers and staff of the school to enlarge the horizons and to make the school a modern and international organization able to face the challenge of a European dimension.
The primary objectives are to increase and upgrade the competences of teachers/staff on different levels ( didactic and professional) so as to make them able to find innovative and improved ways of operating within the organization; besides, the aim is to:
enhance multilateral cooperation between institutions and share the culture of good practices with other countries ( eTwinning).
The number of participants in this first year of planning is:
1) 4 teachers and 1 member of staff/teacher ( 5 total- intermediate/advanced level of English) : September 2014 to plan the first year of mandatory CLIL teaching in the 5^ classes
2)4 teachers , the headmistress and the vice headmistress (6 total - beginners level of English): end of July 2015 to improve language competence and to have a broader understanding of practices and policies
3) 6 teachers ( intermediate level of English) : August 2015 to improve and upgrade the operating methods and practices
The activities will be : training abroad in different periods to attend specific tailored courses in credited foreign organizations to prepare CLIL lessons and to upgrade new methods and tools by exchanging information with teachers of other countries. They will live with native-speaker families to have a deeper understanding of their habits and traditions , they will have visits to cultural and historical places and they will take part in social activities.
The whole project wil have a preparatory phase, the mobility activities and a follow-up phase.
The main tangible results will be: the creation of an on-line guide on CLIL methodology to be published also on YouTube, a bilingual information leaflet on the pros and cons of the mobility activities and the creation of a Committee of "CLIL Experts", who will be available to support other teachers of the organization and to create public events with other institutions .
In the long run the organization would like to carry out several projects under the KA1 staff mobility ( job shadowing and teaching abroad) in order to constitute a huge group of "internationalized teachers" able to have a concrete impact on the system of education and influence the youth in taking part in mobility opportunities in Europe and beyond.
