Teacher Development as a Key to Successful Students' Education
Start date: Dec 31, 2014, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project 'Teacher Development as a Key to Successful Students' Education' will be implemented by Zespół Szkół nr 1 in Cracow in the years 2014-2016. The project has an international dimension and opens the door to deepen our knowledge, language skills, substantive expertise and teaching, with particular attention paid to the student as a beneficiary of training received by managers and teachers. Each planned mobility leads to the extension of workshop, gaining new experiences, materials, and, above all, the knowledge necessary to engage in the processes of learning and teaching. Dissemination of linguistic diversity, multilingualism, democracy, freedom, and overcoming language barriers are the main objectives of the project. The world has become a global village and to meet the challenges we need to sensitize young people and staff to cultural differences and social, linguistic and geographical differences in such a way that integration, tolerance, openness to other cultures, languages and opinions will become the norm. International and European dialogue will play an important role in raising awareness of the project participants, who, in turn, will implement it in a classroom. The digitization, information and communication technology will be a significant element, because the project involves the use of the most modern communication tools, multimedia, and others, also used for virtual mobility. Not without significance is the fact that the project enhances organizational skills, social competencies, skills used in the field of entrepreneurship, international cooperation, management, shaping and education of the young generation and students’ motivation. There is certainly an opportunity to improve the financial situation of the school and the Polish education. The project will be one of the key elements to promote our institution on the local and national level, as the dissemination of information about the activities and mobilities, and their impact on the quality of teaching in our school will attract candidates to the first class, who will be able to educate themselves in their dream technical fields, and then start professional work in Europe or around the world. With a well-trained staff the prestige of our school will increase, and a graduate profile will be inextricably linked not only to the knowledge of vocational subjects and 'profession', but also with the knowledge of foreign languages, human rights, culture and diversity. Type of a student promoted by our school is 'a graduate technician with the soul of a humanist'. It is particularly important in improving the quality of education to prevent early school leaving, especially of our students’, most of whom are the residents of villages and small towns. Moreover, it is essential to motivate the young generation to raise their qualifications and skills in the era of such a competitive labor market. The project 'Teacher Development as a Key to Successful Students' Education' has been written for a student who, through effective education of our school staff, receives the key skills that will help him represent our country proudly at the international arena in the future.
