The Teach project built upon the results of a previously-funded Socrates project that, through research, had resulted in a list of key competences for active citizenship. Involving 7 European organisations from across the adult learning sector, the project developed and delivered a Grundtvig In-Service Training Course aimed at improving the training of those involved in non-formal adult education in the area of active citizenship. Partners worked together on course content development and agreed upon common teaching and certification approaches prior to piloting the developed course. Continuing beyond the project lifetime, over 130 participants from 24 countries are now confirmed as having participated in the Teach IST course.
