The project T@ndem, focuses on supporting digital uses children by the establishment of an educational continuum between schools and families through a educational approach of media education, in coordination with specialized agencies in media education.Background and ObjectivesToday, media use are not confined to the private sphere of the family. They fall in the school's field. This represents a clear challenge to e-skills development, both technical, social, critical but also creative, with teachers and parents.This is why the T@ndem project is developing the following specific objectives:1. Identify the expectations and educational needs of digital media stakeholders (parents, teachers, children).2. To promote collaboration between teachers and parents.3. Promote the development of digital media literacy in continuity (educational continuum)4. Develop educational itineraries cover digital use of children in parenting support.5. Promote an inclusive approach taking into account the diversity of family models and parenting choices.6. Develop expertise and educational own roles of each stakeholder (parent, teacher)Number and profile of participantsThe project will cover various public levels, and receive a total of more than 3000 people:- Parents members of parents associations: 450 requested for the investigation, 150 involved in the activities, 300 participants to dissemination events,- Teachers: 75 asked to the survey, 30 involved in activities, 300 participants in the dissemination events- Children, final beneficiaries: 1125 research participants and 600 indirectly affected.- The school community more generally (Director, Association of parents, other teachers)- Media education resource centers, support to parenting, etc. affected by the spread of resources free of copyright.Description of activities and methodologyInitially, the different needs and expectations of teachers and parents will be identified by a survey qualitative (interviews, focus group), complemented by a review of the literature.Then educational itineraries will be designed to meet the needs identified. They consist of a series of activities articulated to each other that will reflect the variety of family / parenting situations. These itineraries will implement the approaches of media education and will require the cooperation of the teacher and parents.To carry out this project, a liaison notebook will play the role of bridge between school and family. Finally, a catalog of educational itineraries will be made from the variety of modules offered within each country.Description of the impact and outcomesThe expected impact will initially involve partner agencies that will develop collaborative mechanisms, expertise and network to exchange them through the three years of this project. At the heart of the project, teachers will have the opportunity to enter more ICT in their classrooms and accompany this process with the adoption of innovative pedagogies. On their side, parents will be aware of the issues of an accompanying digital practices of their children. These two public also will experiment with a collaborative methodology that can be extended to other types of learning. Beyond these tandems, the school community will be impacted by this approach to educational continuum, and especially students, who are the ultimate beneficiaries.Potential long-term benefits.The project is mainly built on the long-term. Intellectual products will be reused and exploited later by the inventory on the expectations and needs of parents and teachers, through the educational itineraries that will inspire other tandems of teachers and parents, and through an online platerform which will be posted in a long-term perspective. In addition, the project partners will meet in a social network to define (Linked'in, Facebook) to continue sharing extensions and impact of the project beyond the three years.
