Creativa Association wants to expand its European dimension activities, which has been already expanded by other projects in recent years. Creativa is strongly committed to improving the quality of training we give through strengthening the focus on having enjoyable time while learning and this will be achieved with an improved tools and techniques, as well as facilitating the active participation of students in the classroom.
Canary Islands depend its economy on Tourism, which brings an importance in the GDP percentage.
However, there is wide social agreement on a shortage of workers with professional qualifications who are currently employed. On the other hand, the unemployed people, who want to find work in the sector of tourism, and have difficulties to speak and understand the language of the tourist. The project aims to improve and develop the qualifications of teachers who will educate future and potential workers.
The great expand of the economy and the distance that we share within European countries involves great investments. The investments which increases the amount of trainings and courses available to make the job market greater in size. The Information Technology and Communication (ICT) are professional lessons, which are carried out in Creativa.
The students for the Vocational Educational Training (VET) courses who are taught in Creativa, are characterized by socio- economic problems that require professionals.
There will be 21 participants who will benefit from the planned courses. The teachers who will take part in the program are all motivated by an extension of their knowledge, and pedagogical skills .
The structured course have been chosen as the most adequate activity, which is guaranteed a good quality experience for both, the participants and the potential partners.
A methodology of the courses will be focused to have as many as possible explanations and lectures given by the teachers. There will be an audiovisual tools provided and guided visits to the Vocational Training Centres and Tourism Offices. The Informatics Technology classes will also be taught to our students.
We have the intention to provide to all of our staff, the most appropriate, useful and effective teaching practice.
The purpose of the project is to meet educational needs of the students, who are adapting to demands of the society, and the lessons which will be learnt are the basic need in their professional learning and the employment.
Moreover, the exchange of experiences and teaching practises with partners, it will allowed Creativa to have a future reference as an organization which has worked in the field of VET with a strong European dimension.
In Europe, it is expected to establish unions with our partners for a future and more stable character.
