Project contentA look at the world of health care sector in France and Finland, a discovery of the differences and similarities with the Belgium system. Where can we find opportunities to grow further in our fields by learning from our peers. How are care recipients treated in France and Finland.By working and living in a different environment, students will become more independent, they come into contact with other cultures and will learn to understand these better.People involvedThe students of the participating course options, teachers in general subjects (core classes, language, ...), vocational teachers, partners and their internships, the parents of the pupils, our school in general, the internationalization office of AGSO.NeedsStudents get the chance to discover the care sector in Finland and France, which will lead them to a better understanding of the differences in these sectors when comparing them to other countries. We want the pupils to get acquainted with other opportunities in the care sector. We want to bring the pupils in contact with the local health care sector: care for troubled youth, care of children, young people and older people with disabilities, education of children and young people with disabilities, care for infants and toddlers, caring for the elderly, with or without disabilities, nursing people ....We also want the students in contact with different cultures. The contacts with these people would expand their view of the world and by coming into contact with different cultures, you also learn how to accept other cultures. It is important that they are acquainted with other cultures, allowing them to deal with these people in their working lives in a correct way, they will as such be more equipped at dealing with different people both professionally, as a caregiver or nurse, as socially.Often students are not sufficiently independent, by taking them out of their confidential environment (school, home, work placements in Antwerp), they will have to work on their confidence, which will allow them to grow stronger.LocationThe work placements will take place in nursing homes, daycare centers, accommodation for people with different kinds of disabilities, hospitals and schools in Pori and Aix-en-Provence.
