T.W.I.S.T. - Teachers Will Innovate School Through Training
Start date: Sep 8, 2014,
End date: Sep 7, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project, which involved 18 teachers and the Headmaster of the High School A. Bertolucci of Parma, was born from a keen analysis of the teachers' training needs who had previously highlighted four main areas of improvement:
- development of methods and tools to ameliorate individual methodological skills,
- development of new techniques, strategies, tools and environments in the field of ICT learning and teaching
- improvement of the teachers' know-how for the definition of curricula based on the essential skills to ensure an efficient transition from school to work in a European perspective,
- development of methods and tools to improve laboratory science teaching/learning .
Starting from these "needs" a set of activities, such as job-shadowing, seminars, visits, lessons, meetings and conferences, have been structured with the host school, Strombackaskolam of Pitea(Sweden).
A visit to Bett2015 Exhibition (London) has contributed to the improvment of the teachers' ICT skills and tecniques and has paved the way to a wide range of new opportunities thanks also to the possibility to communicate, share and exchange with other professionals of the field of Education and Training.
The activities included 4 mobilities over a two years' period .
