FINISHED
Main topic of a project is natural environment. Youth from three countries will cooperate to protect it in tree fields: reusing rubbish, promotion of pro environmental behavior within the local community and attempt to resolve an environmental problem recognized as the most threatening for the nature and people in this area. We entrust the task of refining details of the project goals and choosing means of accomplishing them to the youth themselves, so they can be more engaged in actions they will take. They will be also more likely to adopt the European values such as cooperation and taking care of our environment and build them into their further life. Through the series of workshops, lectures and debates we will provide them with the resources they need to equal to that task. Participants of the project will be 24 young people from 14 to 18 years old, coming from little towns and rural areas. The project will be an opportunity to establish relationships between this young people from different countries. Before the exchange they will be meeting in their countries to form a good team and prepare themselves to the project. Then, some of them will take part in preparatory visit , where they will compose the detailed plan of actions. Culmination of the project will be 7 days of the youth exchange. During the exchange participants will work together on accomplishing the project goals, using such means as: (1) carry out workshop for the children from area of Skole where they will reuse the garbage in a creative way (2) organize a social campaign addressed to local community to convince them to produce less garbage (3) initiate efforts to resolve the most actual environmental problem of the area, though the cooperation with media, local government and other institutions that are responsible for resolving this particular problem. The result of the exchange will be an exhibition of things created from garbage during the workshops and report from project activities that we will put on-line as well as many positive changes that will occur in participants themselves and in the local community. When the participants come back to their countries we will encourage them to repeat one of project actions with their peers in their places to spread the positive effects of the exchange also in their countries.
