SVE - Promotion de la mobilité européenne en milieu rural
Start date: Aug 18, 2016, End date: Sep 17, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The aim of this project is to receive a Spanish volunteer in an association "Familles Rurales" in France in order to contribute to the cultural openness of the inhabitants of a very rural area. This experience will allow the volunteer to develop formal and non-formal skills, share his desires and culture.Several factors contributed to the emergence of this project: a strong partnership between the sending organization in Spain and the coordination structure in France and the desire of the association "Familles Rurales" to create conditions for cultural and intercultural openness for the activities they organize for the population in the region.Within "Familles Rurales", the volunteer will at first observe and soak up the actions and the philosophy of the association by participating in activities that exist already. Regarding the activities of mobility and cultural exchange, the young will be in regular contact with volunteers and employees who are invested in projects such as educational support, the welcome place of parents-children, the multi-activity group and could create links with the publics of these projects to create an intercultural exchange. Beside the activities that he will co-organize with the employees of the association, the team will support him in the establishment of one or more personal projects, based on observations, remarks and needs he had noticed. The volunteer will also be responsible for the updating, development and animation of the youth center, with the support of the employees and volunteers of the association. He will think about where, how and with whom to establish actions in the objective to make know Europe and enhance multiculturalism. The volunteer will be accompanied by a tutor who has made herself an EVS in the Spanish structure and promoted the process and the EVS missions in her structure. The coordination will be ensured by the association CRISTEEL, which sends volunteers since nearly 15 years in the EVS program and coordinates several hosting EVS project. An external mentorship will be assured through this, and the integration of the Spanish volunteer in the coordination will combine the benefits of a well established project in the host structure, and the advantages of a shared flat in the city with other volunteers.
