Act4Change empowers young people in Belgium in their engagements for sustainable development. In 2016 we will host an EVS volunteer from Spain to support our project work and day-to-day operations and to strengthen our international network and the diversity within our organisation.This volunteer will work on practical sustainable event management while gaining in-depth knowledge of at least two different topics related to sustainable development. In particular the newly adopted Sustainable Development Goals will serve as a guideline for engaging with this sustainable agenda, as they are the focus of our work until 2017.The selected volunteer, who has experience in working with volunteers and a strong interest in learning more about sustainable development and event management, will be involved in the organisation of our activities (including at least one Masterclass on sustainable development) and will be stimulated to develop other ideas for trainings and activities to support awareness of sustainability among young people. The project will focus on non-formal learning-by-doing and supporting the development of a stronger awareness of sustainability by working in an open and sustainable environment. Simultaneously the presence of a European volunteer in the organisation will support a more international mindset and awareness of possibilities to expand projects to reach a broader public.
