Training course “Supporting Entrepreneurship Skills and Active Participation of Rural Youth” will take place in Muş/Turkey 22-30 May 2013 with the participation of 10 program countries (Turkey, Belgium, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Portugal, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Italy and Slovenia). This course is organized by Genç Çaba Association which has experience on youth entrepreneurship and active participation. We believe that supporting entrepreneurship skills and active participation in social and economic life of rural women and youth can bring about a tremendous impact on the well-being of rural women and young entrepreneurs. This support helps to enhance self-confidence & economic empowerment of youth and improve their access to and control of productive resources and have an immediate impact of their household members’ quality of life and also result in multiplier effects for the neighboring communities. Also the local resources can be utilized to ensure sustainable employment generation & self-employment among the vulnerable rural women and youth. By thinking globally, acting locally and doing it practically, young people can find their own solutions and at the same time solve social and economic problems in rural areas. This activity gave young people the practical ideas, tools, skills and confidence to do it by themselves and for themselves.During the course we will focus on these issues by using non-formal education methods with an intercultural dimension. All the participants will have an opportunity to exchange their experiences and create good networks for the future by the help of discussions, role playing games, intercultural activities and workshops organized by trainers and experts.
