SUPERCOMET aims to test, evaluate and introduce an educational multimedia tool related to superconductivity physics. Primary target groups will be teachers of physics within secondary education (and thus students within secondary education) plus existing employees (engineers) within the industry sector.The field of superconductivity physics is currently in a phase of expansion, there is a need to compare the superconductivity industry with the situation in the semiconductor industry some 40 years ago. There is also a need for updated educational material related to this field of physics, in order to prepare future engineers and developers within this sector.A multimedia training tool will be produced in all partner languages (NO, IT, EN & SI) to be offered primarily on CD-Rom with future potential (for those with sufficient bandwidth) for web access. Additional support elements will be developed to include both a printed manual and a dedicated support section within the project website.Two, one-day training seminars will be hosted by the partnership to introduce the newly developed educational tool to both secondary education teachers and industry employees.To ensure effective dissemination, the project will establish a steering group comprising representatives from both the industry sector and education ministries within each partner country.
