TIA Association promotes a European Training Course, titled “Stop Discrimination: Value the Differences” in the field of Erasmus Plus Programme, KA1 Mobility for Youth Workers - Programme Countries. The project involves youth workers from different organizations and different countries around Europe. The activities will take place in Rome (Italy), from 12nd to 17th April 2016, involving 36 participants coming from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Finland. The Training Course aims at addressing the following objectives: promoting a sense of European citizenship fulfilled through dialogue and work with people at risk of social exclusion; encouraging social cohesion; empowering young people through the concept of respect for Gender Diversity and Equal Opportunities. This project focuses in particular on the following objectives: to raise awareness of sexual racism, equality between men and women on the social, political and economic. The European Commission has established a strategy for equality between men and women (2010-2015). The question we want to ask is this: “We are in 2015, how this strategy for equality has affected European society and what are the results achieved at the social level?” “What is the situation in the different European Countries?”. The objective is to encourage the participants to reflect upon European topics and to involve them in the discussion on the construction and the future of the European Agenda. The TC intends to develop youth workers’ competences that contribute to a spirit of mutual understanding and respect on a local, national and European level. The work programme will schedule the following activities: Exchange of Good Practices, Presentation, Discussion and Comparison, Icebreaking, Energizers, Intercultural Evening, Learning Moment, Case studies, Open Space, Round Table, Braimstorming, Working Group, Teambuilding, Workshop, Daily Evaluation , Projects management and Networking,The working methods envisaged are based on the principles of non-formal education which promotes the active learning, the permanent interaction among trainers and facilitators and the peer exchange of knowledge: both are based on the learning by doing and on the horizontal cooperation between participants, in order to ensure the individual personal and professional development. Furthermore, this training course also offers the space for establishment of new network and cooperation for future international youth projects. A final product of the project will be the realization of an APP on non-formal methodology that will be used as dissemination product to use during the work with youg people and to present at local level by the partnership of the Project.
