The project is based on the results of a 2002 Pilot project called STREAM (IRL/02/B/F/PP-119105), which examined recruitment and retention strategies in the hotel and catering sector. The present project implements the research findings of Stream in a broader geographical content thereby boosting awareness of human resources management principles in the sector. The focus is extended to the broader tourism and hospitality sector to foster long term employment and retention. Training material addressed to hotel industry HR managers, and a train the trainers module addressed to staff within the same sector but without previous HR experience or qualifications will be developed.
