Step By Step
Start date: Apr 1, 2012,

Step By Step was an action 1.3 Democracy project that lasted a total of 13 months that dealt with the topic of the environment and looking for ways to undo the damage that we humans have already done to it. Man’s activities have cerated carbon emissions that have really damaged the environment very much. This project sought to list the main activities that result in the production of these carbon emmissions and to create an awareness about their harmful nature amongst youths. The aim of this project was therefore to become aware of these harmful activities and then start to look for ways to make a change through working with experts and starting to create new proposals to present to politicians in order to reduce our carbon footprint.Step by step, we can start to move in the right direction and help our planet! This project took place in four steps; (1) the leaders’ planning meeting, (2)the preparatory stage, (3) the main activity where 48 youngsters lived together for 9 days and (4) the dissemination stage! All these ‘steps’ together were aimed towards lowering our carbon footprint. The planning meeting and the main activity happened in malta, whilst the preparatory stage and the dissemination stage took place in the 8 communities of the partners. The partners came from: Malta, Hungary, Lithuania, and Spain. All workshops & activities in our project were carried out using non-formal methods that resulted in a final project of a European Parliament simulation where the participants presented their resolutions and voted for them!Changes:3 Spanish Participants from the Organisation Fexuga dropped out last minute and these were replaced with three participants from the host organisation of the MOSTA Youth Empowerment Group after approval from the EUPA offices. The Project was extended till the 1st of May 2013.
