We sent four groups of our 3rd and 4th grade students of medical assistants on the short term attachment in the autumn of 2014, spring of 2015, autumn of 2015 and spring of 2016 (every two weeks). Each of these were attended by 6 selected students and 1 professional teachers (not all students were adults at this time) or mentor. Foreign partner arranged practice in a hospital in Poprad, where students performed nursing care within the scope of our curriculum in the morning shift during 5 days per week. Short term attachment preceeded by preparatory month period when students were prepared in the scope of linguistic, professional, intercultural and personal. In the end, the project was evaluated and accounted. The project outcomes were presented after ending of short term attachments at school and in the Open Days. These mainly included the information about the project on websites, bulletin boards, the annual school report. Students were able to compare nursing procedures during short term attachments in a foreign country, to learn new skills, to get work experience and establish business and personal contacts. The main objective of the project was contribution to the development of professional skills of students and their enrichment in terms of different professional approaches abroad and of course for language improvement. At the same time attractiveness of vocational training of our students were enhanced. Experience abroad were considered as professional experience within the curriculum.
