The grantees of the project are 48 pupils from 2-nd and 3-rd classes of Technical College, who are educating as future general builders, electricians, IT-technicians and surveyors and pupils from basic vocational school in profession drywall installer. Most of the students come from poor families living in agricultural areas, with social benefits as the only source of income. Participation in the Project is for them the only occasion to gain vocational experience abroad.
The main target of the Project is to develop and broaden the knowledge and practical skills of students within the framework of practice. The school as a promoter of the Project would like to improve the quality of education, especially practical one, and adapt the vocational education to the needs and requirements of the job market. Our institution aspire to create new methods and implement pedagogical and technological innovations as well as offer the holistic attitude towards vocational education. As a part of the Project the student will undergo four week training, two weeks in Polish companies and two weeks in foreign training center. Along with the resourcefulness training our beneficiaries would have an opportunity to compare the functioning of the enterprises both in the country and abroad. This kind of training will be prepared together with the Employment Agency and Association “Przedsiębiorcy Skarżyska”.
Our Partners are: the Portugal company – EPD with its headquarters in Portugal, the Italian company - INFOL and the British company- Tellus, which are firmly experienced in working with students due to the fact of their long-lasting participating in Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ projects. The main targets of our Partners are sharing experience and knowledge, support of the educational institutions abroad and development of cultural awareness along with the improvement of language skills of those young people entering the job market.
The technical collage curriculum envisages vocational training in companies and institutions which operate in the same areas as the scope of education. This function is fulfilled by the abroad traineeship. After the end of the training all the students will be given the certificates to prove the skills they acquired and their vocational qualifications. The measurement of the value added will be conducted in the form of an exam while the experience and skills gained will be disseminated among the school community.
The process of dissemination itself will take place though the establishment of the internet platform for the exchange of experience available not only for the beneficiaries but for employers and the young people in the whole country.
The project will be executed in cooperation with EPD located in Lisbon in Portugal (X.2016 - 16 students), Infol in Rome in Italy (II.2017 - 16 students) and Tellus in Plymouth in Great Britain (III.2017 - 16 students).
The execution of the Project will certainly have a positive impact on the functioning of the students on the European job market.
