FINISHED
The Adult Learning Team in Stirling wish to support a member of staff to participate in staff training of one week's duration in Cyprus. As a Literacies Development Worker, the participant supports vulnerable adults who face barriers to learning. Taking part in this staff training will equip the participant with strategies to reduce the consequences of stress (such as poor health, ineffective communication, inability to focus, more conflicts) and increase understanding of the role of emotions in teaching and learning. The participant will be able to introduce strategies directly with learners and cascade learning to other adult learning staff and tutors. The participant will be able to meet with other adult education staff to share best practice and develop new working practices which can be embedded into future literacies work. The participant will have the opportunity to develop links and identify potential future European projects with other participants on the course.
