The poject "Mediterranean cuisine in restaurant service" will be implemented jointly with TRIBEKA TRAINING LAB SL , Spain. The project objectives are: - To support learners in the acquisition of competences - knowledge, skills and attitudes, with a view to improving their personal development and employability in the European labour market and beyond; - To increase understanding and awareness of participants about other cultures and countries; - To ensure better recognition of competences acquired as a result of the period of training abroad; - To improve students foreign language competences. Achieving these objectives will help to meet the needs of qualified personnel in the field of tourism. It will increase the motivation of participants to become specialists who will successfully develop and manage this business. This will further boost the development of tourism as a priority sector for the town of Sliven and the Southeastern region. The work placement will be held in Malaga, Spain, from 01.08.2015 to 01.08.2016. In the project will participate eighteen students at the age of 17 and 18 from the following school specialties: "Organization of hotel service", "Catering" and "Production and service in catering and entertainment establishments”.Two teachers from the school will accompany the students during the work placement. To facilitate the integration of the participants in the new environment students will study English in Bulgaria. Practical training will be implemented in foodservice restaurants, specialized in offering Mediterranean cuisine according to a work program coordinated with the partner. It will include topics that will contribute to the improvement and upgrading of the acquired new professional competencies specific to the profession. The assessment, resulting from the practice in Spain, will be recognized in Bulgaria as a school assessment in professional training, which is part of the school curriculum. Achieving the objectives of the project will increase the employability of participants, it will facilitate their adjustment to wider labour market, it will form the idea of being part from the European Union. A certificate, issued jointly with a partner, will be an integral part of the high school diploma. The school will conduct an analysis and promote the results. The implementation of the project will increase the attractiveness of the school as an educational institution, which successfully prepares graduates for tourism in Bulgaria, Europe and beyond. The High school will become more popular as an attractive educational institution. It will increase its experience in the organization and management of projects under the European mobility programs for students and staff. It will improve intercultural exchange through communication and cooperation with partners from other countries. Teachers will acquire skills for innovation and creativity in training of young people. The implementation of the project will lead to the creation of a modern, dynamic professional environment in the school, sharing good practices and the introduction of new training methods. A strategic planning of teachers’ professional development will be achieved concerning their individual needs and the objectives of school development.
