Sport&Art Ability is a Eramsus + mobility project for young people, a youth exchange (Key Action 1), which will take place in Belluno from September 23th to October 1st 2016 .The project has been created in order to share a successfull activity presented on local level, proposing an innovative project which aims to create a new path of social inclusion, with the direct involvement of young disabled people and people without disabilities but with fewer opportunities, belonging to some potentially vulnerable groups (NEETs , young people with social and economic obstacles, young people with educational difficulties). The goal is to undertake a mixed-ability route, inclusive and participatory, where young people with and without disabilities can live an international experience, breaking down their psychological, physical and cultural barriers. The project is guided by some specific objectives:- Create a space for dialogue and intercultural learning among young people with physical and sensory disabilities and young people with fewer opportunities from different countries, encouraging the acquisition of a "European citizenship";- Promote sport as an expression of active citizenship, solidarity and social inclusion;- Experiment participatory processes and innovative methodologies based on non-formal and informal learning, using art as a universal language and as a tool for integration and promotion of diversity;- Use the languages of communication, but also artistic and multimedia expression , as experimental methods of peer education;- Recognize and certify the level of skills and attitudes acquired by young people during the experience of mobility. The project consists of a heterogeneous partnership, made up of 4 voluntary organizations coming from Italy, Croatia, Romania and Poland. The partnership, based on a geographical diversification, ensures a balance of expertise and skills regarding non-formal learning, the management of youth groups and the promotion of social inclusion. Each association involved will take part to the exchange with 6 youngsters, aged between 18 and 25 years, accompanied by a group leader and a intrerpreter/motor assistant. The project recognizes that art and sport have a "social role", able to communicate using a universal language and able to quickly convey messages and values. Art and sport are the perfect ground to create spaces for dialogue, intercultural learning and social incusion, as well as a tool to promote the acquisition of a "European citizenship". For this reason, Sport&Art Ability proposes an artistic and sports experience, based on non formal and informal learning methodologies, aimed at the integration and enhancement of different abilities and cultural specificities.Young people will have the opportunity to work on some artistic disciplines (an animation workshop, which uses the technique of stop motion, a videotelling workshop and a flashmob workshop). The project also includes the participation in three sports workshops: a sitting basketball workshop, a sitting volley workshop and hiking workshop (wheelchair accessible). The exchange provides a network of activities and methodologies: role plays, ice-breaking, team building activities, brainstormning, energizers, workshops, discussions and debates will mark the different project phases. The project is aimed by obtaining a direct impact on participants, group leaders, partner organizations, as well as on the local community. The direct results of the project will be the artistic and multimedia products made during the exchange, which will guarantee an optimal visibility thanks to the support that will be carried out by all the partner organizations and the network of local actors, improved on their communication channels (website internet, facebook page, Youtube channels). The video production, in particular, will have a prominent impact and benefit in the long period: shared and promoted at all levels, it will become an instrument of media education, enhancing the transmission of the european common values of solidarity and active citizenship and promoting a horizontal communication between peers. The exchange will also be an opportunity to discuss common projects, laying the basis for future synergies and collaborations, with long-term benefits for each partner association.
