he subject of the project is specialized foreign internships (traineeships) of the students from secondary vocational schools from Lower Silesia, immediately adjacent to the province of Lower Silesia state of Saxony (Germany) in the fields of agriculture, horticulture and landscape architecture as well as hotel industry and catering. Internships in the fields of agriculture and horticulture will be held at 3-week cycle including: Interinstitutional Saxon Training Centres in Pillnitz (horticulture and landscape architecture) and Kőllitsch (agriculture) as internships in foreign education institutions - and in chosen Saxon enterprises and establishments – as internships in foreign companies. In Interinstitutional Saxon Training Centres there will be conducted a 2-week training in which there will be theoretical and practical classes. This will be followed by a 1-week internship in chosen companies which will be used to consolidate the acquired knowledge. Internship in the field of hotel industry and catering will be conducted in a 4-week cycle, directly in the chosen Saxon enterprises/ companies. The aim of the project is to support the training of students from schools in Legnica, Głogów, Bożkowice i Biedrzychowic through apprenticeships in Germany. The project involves the implementation of the practices in modern education centres under the supervision of experienced staff. The centres provide the trainees with a high level of practical training at the level of vocational school in accordance with European standards. They are equipped with modern specialized equipment. They do research on the implementation of modern technologies of production of the above mentioned industries. In Lower Silesia there are no analogous centers providing vocational training practices. Thanks to internships in Saxony a gap regarding practical training in Lower Silesia will be filled and the participants will be provided with theoretical and practical foundations connected with the professions in question. Additional aspect of the training will be deepening the participants’ knowledge of the German language. The participants will also be transmitted knowledge about the society and culture of Saxony (Germany) and they will become sensitive to aspects of working in a multicultural environment. The participants of the internships will be students of secondary vocational schools from Lower Silesia studying in the fields of agriculture (number of people: 2 groups x 14) and 1 group x 10) and horticulture with landscape architecture (number of people: 16) from schools in Legnica, Bożków and Głogów and in the field of hotel industry and catering (number of people : 10 + 10) from school in Biedrzychowice. The internships will be implemented in the following period: autumn spring 2016 - spring 2017. The effects will be disseminated at the level of participating schools among other students/ others form Lower Silesian schools offering corresponding fields of education (including a meeting to disseminate the results in each school involved in the project with the participation of students from lower grades; written notice via e-mail to other schools in the region) and among the industry and the region of Lower Silesia (including the applicant's own website and the schools’ websites, written information after the completion of internships to specialized Lower Silesian institutions involved in the process of vocational education in the region such as the Lower Silesian Chamber of Agriculture, written information via e-mail to specialist professional media).
